Plasma Transferred Arc and others such as TIG, MIG, Arc, Micro-resistance and Powder Welding

Complementing our thermal spray capabilities, Frontken is equipped with welding technologies such as PTA to provide surface rebuilding, recovery & repair works.

Plasma Transferred Arc

Plasma Transferred Arc System (PTA) is a high energy, inert gas welding process. It produces a very high quality deposit offering optimal protection with minimal dilution or deformation of the base material. It is a process that deposits very precise coatings of perfectly controlled alloys on mechanical parts that are subject to intense wear, significantly extending their service life.

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) is frequently referred to as TIG welding & is a commonly used high quality welding process.  TIG welding is a popular choice of welding processes when high quality, precision welding is required. Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), generally referred to MIG welding, is a semi-automatic or automatic arc welding process in which a continuous and consumable wire electrode and a shielding gas are fed through a welding gun.
